Draft Cultural Landscape Report/Historic Structures Report (CLR/HSR)
This draft CLR/HSR for Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Light Stations of Michigan Island, Outer Island, Devils Island, Long Island and Sand Island is presented here as supplemental information for the Environmental Assessment (EA) undergoing public review and comment. It presents in greater detail the preferred alternative as described in the EA. Public comments on the EA will be evaluated and will help inform this document.
The CLR and HSR were conducted concurrently and are presented as one cohesive document to assure coordination of the proposed work. For ease of use by park staff, separate volumes were created and organized as follows:
Volume I: Introduction and Overall Development History
Volume II: Michigan Island CLR/HSR
Volume III: Outer Island CLR/HSR
Volume IV: Devils Island CLR/HSR
Volume V: Long Island CLR/HSR
Volume VI: Sand Island CLR/HSR
These files are large and have been broken down into smaller units for faster download. If you have trouble downloading them, please contact the park for a CD containing all of the volumes.
