Mount Vernon Trail Safety Improvement Project at Theodore Roosevelt Island Parking Lot

The George Washington Memorial Parkway, a unit of the National Park Service, seeks public comments on proposed alternatives for the Mount Vernon Trail Safety Improvement Project at Theodore Roosevelt Island Parking Lot. This project seeks to reduce visitor conflict and improve visitor experience by realigning a segment of the Mount Vernon Trail and reconfiguring the entry area of the Theodore Roosevelt Island pedestrian bridge.

Please follow instructions below to submit comments on the proposed alternatives.

A press release and project overview presentation are both available for download below.

More detailed drawings of the proposed alternatives are available for download at the George Washington Memorial Parkway website at: http://www.nps.gov/gwmp/parkmgmt/planning.htm
