Press Release Finding of No Significant Impact ʻAimakapā Fishpond Wetlands Restoration Management Plan

The National Park Service has made a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) determination for the selected alternative for the ʻAimakapā Fishpond Wetlands Restoration Management Plan and Environmental Assessment. 'Aimakapā Fishpond is located within Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park and is a rare example of a naturally formed loko pu'uone, a fishpond modified by Hawaiians for aquaculture.
