May 2023 - Mt. Wanda Comprehensive Site Management Plan and Environmental Assessment


The National Park Service (NPS) invites the public to continue to help shape the long-term management of Mt. Wanda. and soon to be acquired adjacent lands. The NPS has released the Comprehensive Site Management Plan (CSMP)/Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Mt. Wanda unit at John Muir National Historic Site (NHS) for a 30-day public review and comment period. The plan identifies new visitor opportunities, addresses facility needs, provides long-term resource management strategies, and recommends improvements for the connectivity of Mt. Wanda to other areas of the park and the broader community.
