Replace Visitor Centor Standing Seam And Flat Roof

Lincoln Home National Historic Site » Replace Visitor Centor Standing Seam And Flat Roof » Document List

This project will consist of the removal and replacement of existing standing seam roof and flat membrane roof systems on the park Visitor Center, built in 1976. Removal and replacement of the entire 7,500 square feet of existing standing seam roof is required. Any damaged sheathing under current roof will be replaced (approx. 15%), and a new underlayment will be installed. The attic insulation will be evaluated with potential replacement as needed. Roof material is currently steel. We will potentially look into replacing with galvanized copper to match flashing and other flat metal roof materials used throughout the historic zone of the park. We will also replace the existing 1,660 square feet of rubber roof used in parts of the roof. Old will be removed, new rubber membrane installed, and new layer of gravel put down.
