Lincoln Home National Historic Site » Repair and Paint Exterior- Morse House (HS-09) » Document List

This project will consist of repairing and painting 3,308 square feet of exterior surface area on the historic Morse House (HS-09). This building was last painted in fiscal year 2008 and is past its life cycle to be painted. Surfaces to be painted include: 11 windows with trim and shutters, 3 doors with trim, siding, facia, soffit, all molding and brackets, 85 feet of guttering, 85 feet of downspout and 368 square feet of porches. Repairs will be made as needed to the exterior of the structure. All surfaces to be painted will be prepared for painting by sanding and scraping. A primer coat will be put on any repaired spots, and two finish coats of exterior latex paint will be applied by brushwork to the entire structure. This project is slated to be done by contractors unless we have enough park staff to do in house. Will be based on project load vs. staff ratio.
