This project will consist of removing the existing heating and air conditioning unit in the Lincoln Home Carriage House (HS-01A & B), which includes the condensing unit, line sets, humidifier, dehumidifier, furnace and evaporator coil and replacing with new, energy efficient replacements of same size.. The new heating and air conditioning unit to be installed will be required to be high energy efficient 96% AFUE two stage furnace, one high energy efficient evaporator coil of at least an 17 seer rating using 410a refrigerate, one high energy efficient condensing unit of at least a 17 seer rating using 410a refrigerate and a new compatible line set. The work shall include adapting the new furnace unit to the existing ductwork and all electrical connections, drains, venting, etc., required to complete a full functioning system. The work also requires the replacement and installation of a new by-pass humidifier for added humidity control to protect the historic fabric of the structure. All equipment shall be new and unused, matched in size and brand to assure proper function. A energy star rating will be required for the replacement unit. The controls for the new systems shall be connected to the existing direct digital controls. All equipment and sensors related to the digital controls requiring removal during the demolition of the existing HVAC units will be reinstalled to retain their original function. This project is slated to be done by a contractor. The building was built in the early 1960s.
