The front porch floor on the Lyon House (HS-08) is starting to rot and sag. The nosing on the front edge is almost completely rotted off causing a potential safety hazard. This building serves as the Administration building for the park and the front porch and steps are heavily used, necessitating an immediate replacement. The in-kind replacement will have a slight deviation to the design to eliminate the nosing piece. The new design will match other porch floors throughout the site with straight cut boards and no edging.
