This project will remove exotic trees from Colorado River cooridor along Arches National Park. Treatment of exotic trees (all except Tamarisk) will be conducted by a local landscaping company organizing volunteer labor for the project. The project will start at Dewey Bridge and go to the Moab Hwy 191 Bridge. The intention is to carefully treat these cut trees with arsenal or habitat (imazypyr) to ensure as full a kill as possible with one treatment.

The group will also GPS each point where they treat trees-noting how many we treated, how and with which chemical.

Heron rookery areas and trees harboring active nests and wildlife dens will be avoided.
