This project is designed to bring the Igloo Forest to Road Design Standards. An 8'' base layer of select borrow will be hauled and placed by the contractor. NPS crews will grade the material to Road Design Standards with NPS owned equipment. After the select borrow base layer is graded and compacted, a 4'' finish course layer of 1'' minus will be applied. The contractor will haul and place the finish course and NPS crews will grade to Road Design Standards. All 18'' culverts in section A will be replaced with 24" culverts to increase flow.
