The foundation planning process confirms the purpose and significance of Ice Age Floods National Geologic Trail, identifies fundamental resources and values, and establishes primary interpretive themes. The foundation document helps to ensure that future planning and management activities focus on these priorities by ensuring that staff and stake holders have a mutual understanding of the priorities and objectives required to protect the highly significant trail resources and values.
