In accordance with the park's 2008 General Management Plan, the National Park Service is considering actions in the American Camp Unit of San Juan Island National Historical Park (park) to eliminate non-native European Rabbits at American Camp.

The purposes of the Environmental Assessment is to implement the provisions of the General Management Plan from 2008, eliminate nonnative European Rabbits from American Camp, and prevent future recolonization of European Rabbits and mitigate the deterioration of natural and cultural resources.

Park staff look forward to hearing from and working with the public while planning and implementing this project.
