The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking your input on the Stinson Beach Parking Area Rehabilitation Project (project) at Golden Gate National Recreation Area (the park). The project would provide sustainable visitor access and flood protection within the constraints of the natural environment while also considering the existing built environment. NPS is soliciting your comments to refine the preliminary strategies and develop a proposed action which will be evaluated under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and for compliance with applicable federal laws.
To present information about the project, learn about potential impacts to the local community, and receive public comments, NPS will host a civic engagement meeting on July 23, 2024, at the Stinson Beach Community Center from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. You are invited to attend this meeting to learn more about the project and to ask NPS representatives any questions you may have.
Please see the attached project Newsletter for more information about the project. We welcome your comments through PEPC from June 24, 2024, through August 15, 2024. NPS will host a public meeting on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Stinson Beach Community Center at 30 Belvedere Avenue, Stinson Beach. You are invited to attend this meeting to learn more and to ask NPS representatives any questions you may have about the project. Early public input is critical to successful project planning and implementation.
