The park has received a request for a commercial filming permit from Creative Media Group, Inc. for July 11, 2007. Description of the requested activities:
"Two camera shoot with a small crew to video tape four actors as they hike to Delicate Arch. The subject matter will be two teenagers with their chaperone hiking to Delicate Arch, discovering the beauty of the arch while learning important lessons such as preparedness (water), trail safety and etiquette, land conservation, etc."
The production would involve four actors and six crew, filming on the Delicate Arch trail and outside the park visitor center. A National Park Service monitor would accompany the production. Equipment would be limited to cameras and reflectors, 3 personal cars and 1 van. The permit would include conditions (see additional documents) to minimize impacts on park resoures and visitors.
