The Regional Director of the National Capital Region signed the Record of Decision on June 29, 2016 selecting Alternative C: Hydrologic Restoration and Fullest Possible Extent of Wetland Restoration as the alternative for implementation.

Under the selected action, the marsh will be restored in a phased approach, with the initial phase including stabilization of the marsh up to the historic boundary of the marsh and other adjacent areas within NPS jurisdictional boundaries, except for the area immediately adjacent to the Belle Haven Marina.
