This project consists of purchasing and installing 20 sets of shutters on the Dubois House (HS-15) to complete the restoration process from 10 years ago when funding ran out before the shutters could be acquired. Other issues to be corrected include painting approximately 200 SF of interior basement walls where the maintenance staff storage, break room and communal desks are located; and to repair a water penetration problem in the foundation on the north side of the building. The foundation is leaking and causing rust to appear on the floor under pipes which are also exhibiting rust throughout. The soil on the north side needs to be removed to four feet subgrade to expose the utility piping entering the building. Once exposed, the foundation will be resealed, along with the pipes to prevent further water seepage. The area will be backfilled with sand followed by topsoil and reseeding.
