This project will consist of repairing and painting 4,727 SF of exterior surface area on the historic Lyon House (HS-08). This building was last painted in fiscal year 2012. Surfaces to be painted include: 22 windows with trim and shutters, 3 doors with trim, siding, facia, soffit, all molding and brackets, 215 feet of guttering, 75 feet of downspout and 270 square feet of porches. Repairs will be made as needed to the exterior of the structure. All surfaces to be painted will be prepared for painting by sanding and scraping. A primer coat will be put on any repaired spots, and two finish coats of exterior latex paint will be applied by brushwork to the entire structure. In addition, the 240 square feet of exterior of the Lyon House Privy (S-28) will be prepaired, repaired and painted with exterior latex paint.
