The National Park Service is seeking public input on the Off-Road Vehicle Management Plan (ORV) for Lake Meredith National Recreation Area.

 
Description:
Open houses will be held in Fritch and Amarillo, Texas on February 26th and 27th at the times and places indicated below. These meetings will offer the public an opportunity to comment on the Draft Plan/EIS which will impact off-road vehicle use at the park for years to come.


Meeting Directions/Instructions:
Use the Grand Street Exit. The Ashmore Inn and Suites is located on the North side of the Interstate near the Cracker Barrel.

Due to the recent severe storm and dangerous driving conditions, Lake Meredith National Recreation Area has rescheduled the public meetings on the draft Off-Road Vehicle Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement to March 19, 2013, from 5:30 -7:30 pm at the Ashmore Inn and Suites, 2301 East I-40 (Grand St. exit) in Amarillo, Texas and March 20, 2013, from 5:30 -7:30 pm at the Sanford-Fritch Schools Business Office, 540 Eagle Blvd. in Fritch, Texas. Recreation area staff will be available to answer questions during the meetings.

The Off-Road Vehicle Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement are available electronically on the National Park Service Planning, Environment and Public Comment website at http://parkplanning.nps.gov/LAMR-ORV-DEIS. Comments may also be submitted electronically at this address. Printed copies and compact disks of the Plan/DEIS are available upon request. Written comments may be submitted in person to the park headquarters or by mail to:
