Section 106 MOA Annual Update 2014

The Section 106 consultation process for the proposed Eisenhower Memorial resulted in a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that was executed in March 2012. The document, titled Memorandum of Agreement among the National Park Service, the National Capital Planning Commission, the District of Columbia State Historic Preservation Officer, the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation and the Eisenhower Memorial Commission regarding the Establishment of the Eisenhower Memorial, Washington, DC, listed several stipulations, including a requirement that NPS and EMC provide an annual update on the design of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial. This set of materials is the first annual update and the following pages, including design graphics and a matrix of stipulations and status updates, provide a summary of the design refinements that have occurred since the 2012 MOA.

The National Park Service and the Eisenhower Memorial Commission anticipate submitting refined designs for the Eisenhower Memorial to the National Capital Planning Commission and the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts for review in the coming months. Further project and design details will be made available at that time.
