Public Scoping Newsletter and Feasibility Study for Cape Sable Dams Restoration Phase II Environmental Assessment


This newsletter begins the Environmental Assessment (EA) process by requesting comments on the scope of analysis that will be conducted. The NPS invites the public to identify potential issues, concerns and alternatives to be considered in the EA.

The newsletter (see link below) provides background information, describes the purpose and need for action, and identifies preliminary alternatives and impact topics to be considered in the EA. It also describes how to submit comments and presents the project schedule.

The Engineering Analysis and Feasiblity of Reparing or Replacing Failed Dams report (see link below) provides in-depth information on the project area and preliminary alternatives that will be considered in the Environmental Assessment process.
