Public Scoping Notice
The National Park Service (NPS), in partnership with The Trust for the National Mall (the Trust), is preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 for the rehabilitation of Constitution Gardens on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. This project grew out of the 2010 National Mall Plan, a general management and visioning plan for a sustainable National Mall. The project team was selected through a national design competition in 2012.
The NPS is announcing that a public open house meeting will be held on May 22, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ronald Reagan Building, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C. 20004. The meeting is in the Oceanic Suite (Concourse Level). At the meeting, the project team will be available to discuss the purpose and need, site characteristics, and other project information.
