The NPS invites you to participate in a Section 106 Consultation meeting to receive updated information regarding the historic resources within the area of potential effects and to discuss the three action alternatives.
 
Description:
The National Park Service (NPS), in partnership with the Trust for the National Mall (the Trust), is preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 for the rehabilitation of Constitution Gardens on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Prior to the completion of the EA, the NPS invites you to participate in a Section 106 Consultation meeting to receive updated information regarding the historic resources within the area of potential effects and to discuss the three action alternatives (with new preferred hybrid alternative—"regenerative park") and measures necessary to avoid, minimize, or mitigate potential adverse effects to historic resources.

NPS hosted an initial public scoping meeting on May 22, 2014, followed by an August 7, 2014, public scoping /Section 106 consultation meeting. These events provided an opportunity for interested members of the public, agencies, and organizations to learn about the project, ask questions, provide comments, and identify concerns they feel should be addressed during the review process.

The National Park Service (NPS), in partnership with the Trust for the National Mall (the Trust), invites you to participate in a Section 106 Consulting Parties meeting for the proposed rehabilitation of Constitution Gardens on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
 
Description:
The meeting will provide updated information regarding the effects on historic resources within the affected area and to discuss the draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and any unresolved issues that were raised at the June Consulting Parties meeting.

NPS has previously hosted public scoping/Section 106 consultation meetings on May 22, 2014, August 7, 2014, June 3, 2015, and July 13, 2015. These events provided an opportunity for interested members of the public, agencies, and organizations to learn about the project, ask questions, provide comments, and identify concerns they feel should be addressed during the review process.
