Alternatives for the Ice Age NST in Rock County


Information is being presented to the public through mailings and three open house meetings regarding four alternatives for completing the Ice Age NST in Rock County.
The information includes: a cover letter, comment form, project area maps, and an event flyer. The public is invited to comment on any or all of the materials.

1. The information you received describes four Alternatives: a ‘No Action” Alternative (#1), Johnstown Moraine/ Rock River East-Alternative #2, Johnstown Moraine/ Rock River West-Alternative #3, and Orfordville Moraine-Alternative #4. Which alternative is your favorite? Which is your least favorite? Why?
2. Approximately 20 miles of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail already exist in Rock County, including segments at Storrs Lake Wildlife area, Milton and Janesville. Have you hiked the completed segments in Rock County or other areas of the state? Do you have any comments regarding the quality or stewardship of these existing trail segments?
3. Do you have any other comments or suggestions concerning the Ice Age Trail?
