Proposed Backcountry Management Plan Topics for Scoping

The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking public input in developing alternatives for the implementation of the Backcountry Management Plan at Whiskeytown NRA. The intent of the plan is to improve the overall recreational experience in the park's backcountry. Some alternatives may include increasing the number of trails and campsites avaliable to visitors, and constructing hikers huts to allow overnight use in the backcountry. The document below describes the goals and objectives of the plan and potential actions that may be taken under this plan. We welcome your comments!
