Ahwahnee Comprehensive Rehabilitation Plan Environmental Assessment

After more than 80 years in service, The Ahwahnee National Historic Landmark hotel and its associated structures are in need of rehabilitation. In Summer 2011, the park released an environmental assessment analyzing three action alternatives for the long-term rehabilitation of The Ahwahnee.

The National Park Service considered comments submitted on the environmental assessment and released a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and errata sheets in January 2012. This alternative consists of actions selected from Alternatives 1 and 2 as well as other actions developed separately and provides the most cost-efficient means of addressing rehabilitation needs while minimizing impacts on historic fabric and features to the extent possible. Please refer to the FONSI decision document by clicking on the Document List on the lefthand side of the screen.
