Draft General Management Plan and EIS / Draft Foundation Plan

We invite you to review and comment on the Draft Foundation Plan and the Draft General Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement (Draft GMP/EIS).

The Draft Foundation Plan is the first step in the National Park Service planning framework and in developing the park's General Management Plan. The Foundation Plan describes the park's purpose and significance and identifies the fundamental park resources and values.

The Draft GMP/EIS provides five alternatives that reflect a range of management strategies for the stewardship of the park's fundamental resources and values for the next 15-20 years. The Draft GMP/EIS analyzes the potential impacts of each alternative and identifies the National Park Service preferred alternative (Alternative 5).

As you review the Draft GMP/EIS and Draft Foundation Plan, we ask that you consider the Topic Questions listed below. To submit comments electronically through PEPC click on the "Comment on Document" link in dark blue text on the left.
