January 2024 - Asan and Agat Units Management Plan and Environmental Assessment


The National Park Service invites the public to continue to help shape the long-term management of the Asan Beach, Asan Inland, Agat, and Mt. Alifan Units of War in the Pacific National Historical Park. The NPS has released the Asan and Agat Units Management Plan and Environmental Assessment (EA) for a 30-day public review and comment period. The plan provides guidance for resource and facility management in the face of climate change impacts and describes what visitor experiences are desired and appropriate.

The plan and EA provided below includes the following content:
- Letter from the Superintendent
- Introduction to the plan and instructions for how to comment
- A note on CHamoru language in the plan
- Executive Summary in both CHamoru and English
- Chapter 1: Introduction
- Chapter 2: Alternatives
- Chapter 3: Affected Environment and Environmental Consequences
- Chapter 4: Consultation and Coordination
- Appendices

You'll find the plan and EA available for download below. Links are provided for a high-resolution version of the full plan EA, a low-resolution version of the full plan and EA, and a version of the plan and EA that is broken into sections for users with lower internet download speeds.
