Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) & Determination of Non-Impairment

The National Park Service (NPS) has issued the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the "Pedestrian Access Plan" Environmental Assessment (EA) for Pipestone National Monument.

The NPS selected Alternative B to Construct Southside Pedestrian Access Trail. The proposed action was selected after careful analysis of potential impacts to resources and the visitor experience, and in consultation with affiliated Tribes, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Minnesota State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO).
