Below you will find the steps to the Interagency Wilderness 2020 Draft Implementation Plan process:

Step 1. 2020 Vision signed by agency leads from the NPS, BLM, USFWS, USFS, and USGS
Step 2. Listening sessions facilitated for implementation ideas at the 2015 National Wilderness Workshop in Missoula, MT
Step 3. Interagency Implementation Theme Teams convened to draft actions items for the 2020 themes: Protect, Connect, and Lead (to be incorporated into the draft implementation plan)
Step 4. Theme Teams submitted recommended actions - actions were reviewed by the Interagency Wilderness Steering Committee (IWSC) and Interagency Wilderness Policy Council (IWPC)
Step 5. Internal agency review of the draft implementation plan
Step 6. External review of the draft implementation plan *
Step 7. Final revisions made by IWSC and IWPC - completed and signed
