The National Park Service is developing a Transportation Plan to ensure safety, resource protection, and excellent visitor experiences at Acadia National Park in Maine. We will be following a planning and decision-making process in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The process includes determining viable alternative management actions and analyzing the effects on the environment in an Environmental Impact Statement. A final decision and plan is expected in Spring, 2018.
