You're Invited! The National Park Service will be hosting open house events on November 2 in Prospect Harbor and November 3 in Bar Harbor. The purpose of the open house is to present the preliminary concepts and receive public feedback. Public comments will be used to refine and finalize these preliminary concepts into the range of formal alternatives that will be presented and their effects analyzed in the draft plan/EIS.

The National Park Service (NPS) at Acadia National Park will be hosting a virtual information session via a WebEx Seminar. Join us on June 13, at 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (EDT) to see the presentation. The online session is for information only, not an opportunity for public comment. Public comments must be received in writing or submitted to go.nps.gov/AcadiaPlan. The live webinar will be open to the first 100 participants that register and will include a formal presentation describing the plan and possible management strategies followed by a question and answer session.

Park Superintendent Kevin Schneider and Park Ranger John Kelly will be present the draft of ANP's transportation plan to businesses and the public at Ellsworth's City Hall Auditorium on Tuesday June 19th from 8-9:30 am. The Park's transportation plan was released in May, and is in the public comment phase. Public comment ends on June 26, 2018.

"The Ellsworth Area Chamber and the City of Ellsworth feel that this information is as important 'off island' as it is on MDI." States Gretchen Wilson Executive Director of theEllsworth Area Chamber of Commerce. "All of our traffic patterns, businesses and personal lives are truly affected by any changes the park makes to transportation." The plan documents are available at the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce visitor center, as well as on line at www.go.nps.gov/acadiaplan
