Public involvement is a critical part of the project planning and development process. Haleakalā National Park considers public involvement essential to ensure that actions taken by the National Park Service provide the greatest benefit to park visitors. As such, any proposed fee change necessitates civic engagement and discussion. The purpose of this request for comment is to gauge community reaction and gather feedback so that fee programs best serve park visitors while ensuring park management needs are addressed.
