Herbert Hoover National Historic Site » Remove Thompson Farm Hog Barn/Corn Crib (HS-86)
Planning for razing of the structure commenced with a meeting with members of the Iowa State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) in April, 2014. SHPO personnel at that time gave verbal approval to removing the structure and salvaging material if feasable. NEPA/Section 106 compliance was completed earlier this year. A formal memorandum of Agreement with the SHPO has been drafted and is awaiting submittal.
