National Park Service - Washington Office » The Nation's Civil War Battlefields: An Update to Congress
The American Battlefield Protection Program invites public comment on a draft report that updates preservation priorities for the nation's most important Civil War battlefields. The intent of the report is to help focus the efforts of an active Civil War community and provide useful information to federal, state, and local officials responsible for making land use decisions on historic Civil War battlefields. Supplemental state-by-state reports, available at http://www.nps.gov/history/hps/abpp/CWSII/CWSII.htm, provide additional details about the individual battlefields.
