An Environmental Assessment (EA) is being developed to examine potential impacts of alternative management actions for the future of the East and South barracks. The U.S. Army will vacate and transfer the barracks, including land and all improvements, to the National Park Service in 2011. The public scoping period for this master plan runs from March 20 to May 1, 2010, during which public comments are welcome. We anticipate that the final East and South Barracks Master Plan/Environmental Assessment will be available for public review from February 1-March 19, 2012, during which the document will be posted here for public comments. We hope to have the plan completed by late Winter or early Spring of 2012.

Please refer to the schedule below for an overview of this environmental assessment process. Updates will be posted here as we proceed, so please check back for more information.
