The National Park Service (NPS) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), in conjunction with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Kennedy Center), hereby notifies interested Consulting Parties that the second consultation meeting on the Kennedy Center Potomac River Pedestrian Access Improvement Project, as provided for under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), will take place on the date, time, and place below.

 
Description:
The purpose of the upcoming Consulting Parties meeting is to present to the public the proposed alternatives, the area of potential effects (APE), and the historic resources within the APE, including the Kennedy Center, which was determined eligible for the National Register of Historic Places by the D.C. Historic Preservation Office on October 27, 2011. A S106 Assessment of Effects report has also been prepared for this project and will be presented at the meeting. Consulting parties will be invited to discuss the effects of the undertaking and provide input into ways to avoid, minimize, or mitigate adverse effects.
