The National Park Service (NPS) is requesting your input to develop a Vegetation and Deer Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement (plan/EIS) for Morristown National Historical Park (NHP). The purpose of the plan/EIS is to provide the framework for managing vegetation and white-tailed deer browsing in the Jockey Hollow and the New Jersey Brigade units of the park. This will help promote naturally regenerating hardwood forests with mixed classes of trees that reflect the historic and naturally diverse character of the park.

Your participation is vital to our planning process. There are a number of ways to be involved, including attending a public scoping (information gathering) meeting and/or submitting comments. At the public scoping meetings the NPS will present the objectives of the plan/EIS and provide opportunity for you to comment.

Please join us on Wednesday, August 23rd from 7-9 pm, or Thursday, August 24th from 2-4 pm at the park's Washington's Headquarters Museum Auditorium, 30 Washington Place, Morristown New Jersey 07960.

Submitting comments through the PEPC website is the best method.
