Description:
The workshop will be an opportunity for the public and park staff and managers to learn and share insights about the 9,400-acre Snake Bight Pole and Troll Zone, designed to: enhance protection of sensitive aquatic vegetation and wilderness resources, improve the quality of flats fishing, improve paddling and wildlife viewing opportunities, and expand education on proper shallow water boating techniques.
Meeting agenda:
> 5:30 - 6:30: informal discussion between staff and public (posters, maps, handouts, etc.)
> 6:30 - 7:00: series of brief presentations on 1) zone intent/objectives, 2) status and activities (resource conditions/monitoring; visitor experiences, including creel survey; outreach, education and enforcement efforts), 3) trends and observations (use, compliance, feedback from public), and 4) what's next (future activities, SBPTZ relationship to GMP)
> 7:00 - 8:00: Q&A, discussion, public comments

The meeting location is at the intersection of SW 288th Street and SW187th Avenue in Homestead.
