Redwood National Park » Greater Prairie Creek Ecosystem Restoration » Document List

The National Park Service (NPS) and the California Department of Parks and Recreation (CDPR), under the banner of Redwoods Rising, have jointly completed an environmental review process (Initial Study/Environmental Assessment) for the Greater Prairie Creek ecosystem restoration project, within Redwood National and State Parks (RNSP). The project seeks to thin degraded young forests, remove failing logging roads, and enhance aquatic habitat for threatened fish. The project will implement restoration across 9,200 acres in the Prairie Creek watershed.
