The National Park Service (NPS) is preparing a Development Concept Plan (DCP/EA) and Environmental Assessment to plan and implement a program for a new joint maintenance and dispatch law enforcement facility to improve park operations and visitor experience at Mount Rushmore National Memorial (Mount Rushmore).
The underlying purpose of the proposed action is to identify a suitable location within or near the park for a joint maintenance and dispatch law enforcement facility to improve park operations and visitor experience.
