Installation of Interior Storm Windows at Chatham Manor, Laundry and Kitchen

Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania County Battlefields Memorial » Installation of Interior Storm Windows at Chatham Manor, Laundry and Kitchen » Document List

Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania NMP proposes to install interior storm windows on Chatham Manor, Laundry and Kitchen.

This project will install 33 new storm windows in the Chatham Manor, Laundry and Kitchen. These are historic buildings built 1768-1771. Chatham Manor has 50 double hung sash windows. The Laundry has 6 double hung sash windows. The Kitchen has 7 double hung sash windows and 4 casement windows.

The park is now proposing to install storm windows on the interior of all the building's windows. The windows will be custom made to fit the openings of the individual window frames. The installation of interior storm windows will help to retain the building's historic character and design from the outside.
