This proposed project is to remodel and modify a Sierra Nevada Research Station residence (Joyce House -
NPS# 4184) located on 2639 West Bruce Lane in Wawona. The proposed work is designed to meet accessibility requirements and accommodate people with disabilities.

Work will include:
• Install accessible parking pad and ramp to accommodate wheel chair accessibility. The parking pad will be 20 feet x 20 feet. The ramp will measure 50 feet long x 5 feet wide and extend from the parking area to the house. Depth of ground disturbance for both actions will be a maximum of 18 inches.

• Replace/reconfigure existing exterior stairways (3) which include installation of concrete pads. The pads measure approximately 6 feet x 7 feet in size and extend to a depth of 18 inches. Stairways will be post and pier construction (limited to no ground disturbance). The northwest stairway will be re-configured from the original design.

• Remodel interior/exterior portions of the house which includes bathrooms, toilets, bedrooms, guardrails, sprinklers, and doors (no ground disturbance).
