Rehabilitate street light wiring, and replace network cabling parkwide to improve communication

Lincoln Home National Historic Site » Rehabilitate street light wiring, and replace network cabling parkwide to improve communication » Document List

This project will consist of replacing all electrical wiring for the street lights along 8th and Jackson streets from the electrical source to the lamp posts. This will also include conduit and junction boxes to house the new wiring. Because the network fiber cabling runs through the same channels, the network fiber cabling will be replaced while the conduit channels are opened. This will include replacing a two-hundred pair phone cable to service eight buildings on the North end of the park, and will replace old cabling and underground vaults for each building by going directly into each building individually. This will correct many telephone line deficiencies throughout the park. The majority of the conduit runs under the boardwalks lining 8th and Jackson streets.
