Big Spring State Park Historic District - Cultural Landscape Report and Environmental Assessment. The National Park Service (NPS) is preparing a Cultural Landscape Report and associated Environmental Assessment (CLR/EA) to guide management and stewardship of the Big Spring State Park Historic District. The intent of the CLR/EA is to establish a philosophy and framework to guide treatment to enhance resource conditions and the visitor experience, support interpretive programming, and streamline compliance for implementation. This work builds upon the numerous studies, investigations, and documents that already exist for Big Spring State Park Historic District including the General Management Plan/Environmental Impact Statement (NPS 2014), Cultural Landscape Inventory (NPS 2016), the National Register of Historic Places nomination (NPS 1980), and numerous plans and resource reports.
