I am pleased to announce that the National Park Service (NPS) has completed a Foundation Document for Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.
Our Foundation Document examines the core mission and significance of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, our most important resources and values, our interpretive themes that tell the important stories of the park, and special mandates and administrative commitments. While the document does not include actions or management strategies, it offers an opportunity for us to integrate and coordinate all types and levels of planning from a single, shared understanding of what is most important about these parks.
