Remove Failing Road G-6-1

Redwood National Park » Remove Failing Road G-6-1 » Document List

The purpose of the action is to reduce erosion and sediment input into streams, and to restore or maintain hydrologic function in the area of Tom McDonald and Forty-Four creeks where the former logging roads G-6-1 and B-12 occur. The National Park Service needs to take this action to reduce impacts to streams and fish habitat, drainage patterns and hydrologic flowpaths from these roads. The NPS also needs to take this action to reduce the threat of sediment delivery from road crossing and failing culverts.
