Ozark Roads and Trails Management Plan
In the fall of 2015, the National Park Service initiated a Roads and Trails Management Plan / Environmental Assessment for the Ozark National Scenic Riverways (Riverways). As part of the planning process, the National Park Service hosted four public open house meetings in October 2016. Thanks again to everyone that participated in these meetings and provided comments during the October 26 - November 25, 2015 comment period. Your input is very important in guiding the team's work. The Ozark Roads and Trails Planning Team has completed reviewing these comments and developed a public scoping comment summary report which was posted on this site in February 2016.
Due to extreme flooding that occurred in the park in April 2017, the park has refocused efforts on flood recovery, and put the planning process on hold. Once draft preliminary alternatives are completed (likely fall or early winter 2017) the NPS will release these for public review and comment.
Please feel free to check back to this website periodically for future project updates.
