Special Use Permit for Signal Seekers Model Airplane Club

Valley Forge National Historical Park » Special Use Permit for Signal Seekers Model Airplane Club » Document List

Valley Forge NHP routinely issues special use permits (SUP) for visitor uses that are short-term in nature and that have no significant adverse effects. The park issues one-year SUPs to the Signal Seekers model airplane club to use a certain field within the park for flying unmanned aircraft including model airplanes, gliders and helicopters. The permit application is reviewed annually by the park superintendent and senior staff, representing resource management and visitor use considerations, and is modified as necessary to ensure resource protection as well as safety for all park visitors.

No operations are permitted in any other area of the park. Operators of unmanned aircraft must be present on-site. Operators must act in full conformance with all terms of the SUP. The SUP may be viewed below, under "Documents."
