Authority to propose and determine the annual cruise ship quotas for Glacier Bay has been delegated to the Superintendent of Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.
Based on the scientific information available at this time, Superintendent Susan Boudreau has proposed that the 2015 seasonal use-day quotas remain unchanged from the 2014 levels. For the June, July, and August summer season the quota would be set at 153 use days. The May and September shoulder season quota would be set at 92 use days. They year-round daily quota for cruise ships would remain at two per day in accordance with the 2003 VQOR EIS ROD and existing regulations.
The NPS is soliciting public comment on the proposed 2015 quotas.
