This project consists of repairing five windows, including reglazing and replacing glass in two sashes. Also needed is the repair of the roof covering and a 12-14 LF section of crown molding that supports the box gutter system needs replacement. Additionally, 12 LF of skip sheeting along the cave of the North porch needs replaced, which will involve removing the entire existing area of roof to replace the skip sheeting. Finally, the hardwood flooring throughout the house is damaged and needs to be refinished. It was last refinished in the early to mid 1990s. The project will involve fine sanding, sealing, and application of three coast of polyurethane to the existing flooring. This building serves as offices for the park Historian, a Regional Contracting officer, and is the main office/lunch room for seasonal and permanent Interpretive rangers.
